Peacock Meadow, Golden Gate Park

A free, joyful 1 mile walk/run open to everyone, celebrating neurodivergent kids and teens of all abilities and ages.

About the Event

Together in Motion is a fun walk/run event where neurodivergent kids and teen athletes can be joyful, move freely, and participate in a warm and supportive environment — all while spreading awareness of KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) San Francisco.

We believe that every athlete, regardless of ability or experience, belongs. Our goal is to celebrate neurodivergent athletes and give families a friendly, welcoming space where everyone feels at home.

The event is open to everyone — runners, walkers, families, and friends of all backgrounds. At its heart, it celebrates neurodivergent kids and teens of all abilities and ages, and strives to show that every athlete belongs. Participants are encouraged to dress up as superheroes — because that's exactly what they are.

Come in your cape. Show the world what you're capable of.

About Me

My name is Ethan Liu, and I am a high school student and runner in the Bay Area.

Movement has always been a crucial aspect of my life. It is my way of feeling grounded and connected to the present.

I started Together in Motion because of my experience with my younger brother, who is autistic. Understanding his needs and the way he sees the world has taught me an important lesson about how people can experience the world differently. Being around my brother has inspired me to create a space where neurodiverse kids and teens can feel included and celebrated through physical activity.

My goal with Together in Motion is to create a space where everyone can participate at their own speed and simply enjoy being active together.

About KEEN

KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) San Francisco is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth with disabilities through inclusive, non-competitive recreation and fitness programs. KEEN accepts every child regardless of the nature or severity of their disability, and pairs each athlete one-on-one with a volunteer to ensure individualized support so that everyone can find success and joy. Programs are free of charge and designed to support overall health and well-being, foster community connection, and give families a much-needed network of support. KEEN SF is an affiliate of KEENusa, a national 501(c)(3) with chapters across the country.
